front of house

The house is in Monument Beach, which is in the town of Bourne. Bourne is a quiet, accessible Cape Cod town which is ‘off the beaten path’ relative to more well-known towns.  It is a wooden beach house built around 1910, with a private beach.

The house is relatively large, with a deep porch wrapping around half its perimeter, half of which faces the beach. All of the bedrooms have picture windows, and only one of the four bedrooms lacks stellar water views. That bedroom looks out onto the park and tennis courts.

The house is situated on Phinney’s Harbor, which is the first harbor south of the Canal on Buzzards Bay on the Cape side of the Bridge. It is a gorgeous harbor with warm water and terrific conditions for children, sailing, kayaking, and fishing. The house is West facing, and blessed with perfectly stellar sunsets.
