Becky's Bakery Monument Beach

Monument Beach is small but we have a few spots you’ll want to know about:

  • Cumberland Farms carries newspapers, milk, juice, butter etc.
  • Becky’s Bakery – coffee and tea, great baked goods and they usually have fresh baked bread daily in the summer.
  • Monument Beach Pizza  We like the pizza and they have free wifi! They’ve hung some great historic photos of the area.
  • The Whistle Stop Ice Cream Shop – just over the tracks, it brings people from miles around

Grocery Shopping:

  • There is a small local market called Pocasset General Market located at 303 Barlows Landing Rd.  Go straight across Shore Road onto Beach Street past the pizza place. Continue for 1/3rd of a mile and at the stop sign go right onto County Road.  Drive 1.6 miles until the stop light then go right onto Barlow’s Landing Road.  The market is in a little shopping center, with the Post Office, on the left about 1/3rd of a mile down.
  • There is a large Stop and Shop in Sandwich – 65 Route 6A and another in Falmouth at 20 Teaticket Highway.  If you are shopping on your way to the cape there is another Super Stop and Shop in Wareham on Route 28.
  • Roche Brothers in Mashpee on Route 28-they have more prepared foods and a better selection of higher end options.
  • Market Basketalong the canal in Sagamore under the bridge in the outlet mall and has the best prices by far.

Liquor Stores:

  • The closest is about 3 miles away at the intersection of Clay Pond Road (170 Clay Pond) and 28. Go straight across the tracks onto Beach Street which becomes Clay Pond and just before you get to 28 there is a shopping center on the right with Evan’s Pizza and Monument Wine and Spirits.
  • Portside Liquors in Pocasset is on Route 28 South.
  • If you want something a bit more upscale you might take a ride to the Brown Jug Wine Shop at 1 Jarves Street in Sandwich– they also carry great specialty foods.
  • You will get the best prices at Kappy’s Fine Wine & Spirits on 28 in Falmouth (21 Spring Bars Road) – it’s a warehouse with great selection and worth the trip if you are buying more than a couple of bottles. And they are located right next to a Christmas Tree Shop for your shopping pleaseure:
